The community.
Welcome to the website of Mickle Trafford and surrounding communities. Within the site you will find a host of information on the locality and its Parish Council. If you wish to contact the Parish Clerk, please email Derek Bowker at;
The Parish is located 2km to the East of Chester consisting of a diverse mixture of 1,200 modern homes; farms, old cottages, gated developments and country piles. Around 2,500 residents. Many commute by the excellent motorway links to Manchester and Liverpool whose airports are only 40 minutes away.  The London rail service takes 2 hours 12 minutes.
We have three pub restaurants to choose from. Farm tearoom, Shop and Post Office and a regular bus service. Our Village Hall is a popular meeting place which hosts events and has a bar;  kitchen, and rooms with meeting facilities, and all the technics you could need. The village also sports a recreation field with football area and pump track. Anyone for tennis? An award winning ten court tennis club recently opened and is available for all to use.
The Parish is surrounded by grazing land with farming being a traditional activity.  We benefit by being close to Chester but far enough away to be rural.
The primary school is typical of a small village community and achieves excellent grades. A quality B&B is in the centre of the village with larger hotels close by.
The local Anglican Church has a history dating back to the Stone Age, in the centre of the Village is our Methodist Church.  Seven miles away we have the massive Shopping Malls; ‘Cheshire Oaks’ and the ‘Coliseum’. Chester city is renowned for its history.
Close by we have the world famous Hammond School of dance and drama. Our new village addition is the recently built Tennis Club which has been a great success attracting all ages. It benefits from inside and outside courts, including a new leisure area. It offers a great opportunity for children to learn about tennis, exercise, and have fun. It is and managed by volunteers so go and have a look, you will be welcomed.
